Who is Digital Edge TV Producer & Instructor Sam Ettaro?

Sam Ettaro, known by many of his students as "Mister E.", is an award-winning and dynamic digital media instructor (retired), producer, public speaker, and digital innovator who, prior to teaching, had a long career in professional multimedia production and TV.  He earned a BS in Education (specializing in Vocational-Technical Education) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a teaching certification in digital technology (web, multimedia, and information resource design).  While he is now retired and does not hold a current PDE certificate, he spent 13 years teaching Digital Media Arts. He was certified in "Web, Digital Multimedia, and Information Resources Design" during that time.  He crafted Digital Edge TV from his decades of experience leveraging his unique "Project-Based Instruction" approach, which blends vocational and technical training with life and professional soft skills.  Digital Edge TV is offered in partnership with www.scionmedia.org.

Ettaro has long been a strong and outspoken advocate for the power of Career & Technical Education and project-based learning. As an artist, he sees the value of integrating STEAM and personal life skills training into his classes.  He founded Digital Edge TV as a tool to leverage the power of dynamic web TV platforms. He combined it with his gift of gab and unique ability to simplify complex concepts. He put it together an entertaining, educational show to inspire and motivate career seekers.  Digital Edge TV is not a multimedia class.  The purpose and mission of Digital Edge TV is to help young adults who are exploring career advancement possibilities to come to a better understanding of their options by sharing success stories.  The Digital Edge TV show explores some of today's hottest career pathways and partners our students directly with business success stories to produce engaging, inspiring TV shows for the benefit of others, all the while learning valuable business, artistic, and technology skills and building a professional portfolio.
