Why is Digital Edge TV  so  important to our community? 

Because innovative career education programs like this work and are needed to help emerging adults understand and navigate the many opportunities that exist for them.  Education is power, and there's no better way to learn what it takes to succeed than by working directly with those successful in any given career field.   Whether a young person wants to seek a career within the technical trades, go on to college, or start their own business, our dynamic "Project-Based Learning" approach gives them all the tools they need to dig deep, learn faster, and make real-world connections that could jump-start a success career.

Digital Edge Television is a living media lab experience that trains participants in the digital media arts as they produce engaging educational TV shows for the benefit of others...all while conducting meaningful career exploration of today’s hottest career fields!  DETV is offered in partnership with Scion Media, a 501c3 organization that offers entry-level career exploration opportunities to those wishing to learn the digital media arts.  Sam Ettaro, producer and digital media instructor (retired),  leverages a unique "project-based learning" approach that helps participants gain opportunities to work with local non-profits and businesses, pursue professional certifications, and build a professional portfolio.  The vocational training is integrated with personal life skills training, business skills workshops, and personal mentoring support when needed.  Consider partnering with us to give students amazing opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
